The second image seems stronger because the graffiti does not have an "edge" bounding line, as do the two graffiti marks in the first image. In this way, the second graffiti "inhabits" the wall, rather than just being "placed" on it. The graffiti blends well in the second image when it is small, but when it gets larger it looks pixelated.

I agree with Ashley. The bottom image here looks pretty well resolved, though I think Hale made a point in class when she mentioned blurring it. Look at what black spray paint actually looks like on white paint and try to reproduce that. It's not exactly as simple as black on white. It's a subtle difference, but that's what really might make this successful.

Why don't you try changing the opacity on the graffiti...try setting it at 70 or 80% so that you can get a hint of the wall behind it. I think that it will make it actually look like it is painted on the wall instead of just being hung on it.
