Chapter 5: Cultivating Creativity

I was interested to find out that there are so many conditions that can be set up to encourage creativity. I learned how important it is to be open to new ideas and experiences and question and research unfamiliar topics. I was also surprised to read that in addition to being intuitive, a creative person must also thinks rationally and must find a fine balance between the two. It always seemed to me that creativity was more intuitive. I like the quotes the author used throughout the chapter, it helped me better understand the topics being discussed. I especially found the results of the study on teenagers who cannot stand solitude very interesting and it really shows how important it is to seek quite personal time.

I enjoyed reading all the goal setting strategies. I'm usually very organized and I like to set goals for myself, but this section showed me how important it is to understand your own strengths and weaknesses and choose compatible and reasonable goals accordingly.

Overall, I found the chapter enjoyable and informative. It was well organized and easy to read. =)
