Cultivating Creativity
I enjoyed the beginning of this chapter because its is unlike anything I have been taught before. It approaches creativity as more of an attainable formula rather then something you either have or you don't. I appreciated the characteristics of creative thinking listed because they have opened my eyes to things I do naturally and things that I need to work on ultimately improving my potential as an artist. I especially found the physcological views of Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi helpful. Although I felt some parts were redundent topics that many students have been taught before, the majority of the chapter was very encouraging and motivating.
