Cultivating Creativity

This chapter was a good choice for the start of the semester. It didn't really provide too much as far as new information goes but I did appreciate how well written and in depth it explained the subject. In many ways it elaborated on ideas that most artists at this point have likely already come to understand.I don't mean to criticize it too much however because I admit that it was pretty motivational and got me thinking about my own creative practices/procedures. Although i doubt i will be making a grid of post-it notes anytime soon, it did inspire some thought about my current goals for the semester. More than anything this chapter eased some of my concerns about future readings (which I'm sure will cover some more technical design topics). Based on how in depth and yet simple it presented the material I'm sure the other chapters will prove useful.
