Interpretation of Desire.

If i had to describe the attitudes of people in todays society with one phrase, "I need more" would pretty much cover it. People are never satisfied with what they have, they need more money, more clothes, more energy, more friends, and more time. The idea of actually having more time is something that has always interested me. Most people live busy lives, their days filled with things they have to do such as going to work or school, preparing for the next day of work or school, dealing with bills and financial issues, and running other errands that can't be left undone. So when you subtract all the time it takes to complete necessary tasks throughout the day, that doesn't leave us much time for things that we genuinely want to do for ourselves. In todays fast paced world, new discoveries and inventions have allowed us to get jobs done in half the time they used to take us, ("pay your bills online in JUST 15 MINUTES!!!") So while many advances are being made and are seemingly helping us cut more be time off of the the boring tasks in life, we still find time to fill in that time we have saved with other activities. So while it would
be great to actually have more time added to our days, i worry that with that addition would also come the addition of new tasks which will only leave us as tired, if not more tired, and unsatisfied than before. So the question then becomes, do really need more time, or should we just learn to do less?
